SENJ - WHERE THE BURA BLOWS

POEMS

Vanessa Moser

Castle on the hill begging you to climb
Only to stumble upon a much greater find.

Lush oasis, solitude
The waves crashing at 45° N latitude.

A gangplank reaching out from no man's land to the sea
heightening the feeling that there's no place you'd rather be.

Only companion, once more, a ginger cat
A stray like you and unaware of the dashing-away crab.

Snakes slithering to safety as they hear footsteps near
Finding shelter in the flora you hold oh, so dear.

Blue beneath your weightless figure as far as the eye can see
Clear waters again engulfing thee.

'Get outta there before you develop gills,' you hear them plea
And respond by disappearing further into the deep blue sea.

Orange strands floating, your eyes zeroing in on the cerulean blue
Freckles on your skin emerging anew.
